Compare / Migration guide
Move the records. Prove the balances.
Use this sequence to prepare a migration your finance and operations teams can sign off.
1. Define the cutover boundary
Choose a proposed cutover date and list every system that creates financial or stock transactions. Agree on what stops, what remains available for reference, and who authorizes the change.
2. Prepare the source records
Clean duplicate customers, suppliers, and items. Confirm account mappings, units, currencies, and warehouse names. Preserve source exports and agree on a stable identifier for each record.
3. Rehearse and reconcile
Import a representative sample before the full migration. Compare opening ledger balances, receivables, payables, stock quantities, and stock values with approved source totals. Investigate differences instead of masking them with a single adjustment.
4. Approve the switch
Rehearse the transactions the team will perform on day one. Keep a rollback decision point, an access plan for historical records, and a list of people responsible for unresolved issues. Confirm the actual cutover after business sign-off.
Plan the connections that stay
List the applications that will continue exchanging data with Frappe ERP. For each connection, identify which system owns the record, how often data moves, and who handles failed transfers. Describe your current systems and the migration or integration work you want to discuss in the enquiry below.
