Compare portfolio performance with agreed definitions.

A margin number means little when every company calculates it differently. Establish the reporting definitions first, then decide which businesses need Frappe ERP and which should keep their operating systems connected to the portfolio reporting process.

Explore the workflow

Build a reporting model the companies can explain.

Bring the report that requires the most adjustments.

The mapping from local books to portfolio definitions is the work. A new dashboard will not resolve a disagreement over what belongs in a metric.

Reporting definitions

Agree what each measure includes

Start with the portfolio review pack and identify the source accounts, adjustments and dates behind each measure. Accounting dimensions can segment activity inside Frappe ERP, but the portfolio’s metric definitions remain a management decision.

Test it with your team

Ask two companies to explain the same margin line using their ledgers. Record differences in account treatment and period cut-off before defining a common mapping.

Company boundaries

Choose the boundary for each company

Common ownership does not require every business to share a site or replace its ERP at once. Review legal entities, information rights and system readiness. For companies using Frappe ERP, test Company-specific permissions and reporting with the people who will operate them.

Test it with your team

Demonstrate local finance access and the agreed group-review access. A portfolio analyst should see only the information the engagement and ownership structure permit.

Group review

Reconcile a group reporting period

Consolidated Financial Statements bring group-company figures into a reporting view. Account mappings, currency treatment and elimination entries require explicit validation. Companies on other systems need an agreed import or reporting interface.

Test it with your team

Reconcile one reporting period back to each submitted local pack. Include an intercompany balance and a late adjustment so the group controller can approve the treatment, not just the report layout.

Give the review a clear owner.

Agree the scope

We do not promise investment returns, valuation improvements or a universal portfolio template. Fund accounting, investor reporting and deal systems need their own fit assessment. Screens show sample records, not ERPNova client results, and may show an older interface. We verify behavior against the version and apps selected for your implementation.

ERPNova delivery

Prove the fit with your records.

  1. Define the reporting contract

ERPNova documents the agreed definitions, required source fields and finance sign-off responsibility.

  2. Pilot with a representative company

We test mappings against a closed period and retain the reconciliation evidence before repeating the approach.

  3. Sequence the rollout

We assess each company’s readiness and change capacity; local operating requirements remain explicit in its scope.
